Inductive element is an electronic element, which has the function of storing energy. Its main function is to isolate high-frequency signals from DC signals and limit the rate of change of current, thus protecting circuits and components from damage. Inductive elements store electric energy by generating magnetic fields in conductor coils. When connected to an external circuit, it can limit the current change rate or isolate high-frequency signals from DC signals. The working principle of inductance element is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, that is, when the coil passes through the current, a magnetic field is induced in the coil, and the induced magnetic field will generate induced current to resist the current passing through the coil. The interaction between the current and the coil is called electrical inductance, that is, inductance. Inductive elements are usually wound by wires, which can be air core coils, magnetic core coils or iron core coils. The number of turns, cross-sectional area, magnetic permeability and geometric shape of coils will affect the performance of inductive elements. The unit of inductance is Henry (H), which describes the physical quantity of inductive elements that hinder the change of current in AC circuits.
